This is an official announcement regarding trivia sections on pages.
Trivia sections are meant for interesting facts about the Vivosaur/Article in question. HOWEVER, they are still part of the article. The tone must remain consistent with the rest of the article, which includes removing opinions, casual remarks, and slang.
For styling, we have reached the decision that links may be repeated multiple times within the trivia section, regardless of if they were linked to previously. The title/subject of the article should not be bolded within the section.
Moving forward, we will be setting certain standards for trivia sections.
- If the trivia does not relate to the subject of the article, it should not be placed there. This includes trivia about the species on which a Vivosaur is based, unless that trivia provides some insight on the Vivosaur's design or properties.
- For example, it would be appropriate to mention that Vivosaur Proto's Earth typing may be based on Protoceratops' initial discovery in the Gobi desert in Mongolia.
- It would not be appropriate to mention that Protoceratop's frill is thought to have been too fragile to protect its neck, as this does not impact the design or skills of the Vivosaur Proto.
- The trivia should not mention popular culture depictions of the dinosaur the Vivosaur is based on, unless that depiction specifically influences the design or properties of the Vivosaur.
- For example, it would be appropriate to mention that the depiction of Dilophosaurus, popularized by the movie Jurassic Park, influenced both the design and poison abilities of Dilopho (DS) and Dilopho US.
- However, it would not be appropriate to mention that V-Raptor's feathered appearance is different from that of the Velociraptors depicted in Jurassic Park.
- Trivia relating to taxonomy related situations, such as those involving Spinax (DS) and Beckles should be at bare minimum dated. If reliable sources are available, they should be added.
- Other standards will be added as necessary.
